Certified Nursing Assistant/Certified Medication Assistant

Do you possess the caring heart to work with our seniors? If so, you may be the right person to assist our residents with personal care, nurturing them with encouragement, and promoting their independence. We have a full-time position available in the afternoon/evening(3-11) for an energetic, flexible, and reliable C.N.A.

Sterling Estates is seeking full-time C.N.A.'s to assist our residents with activities of daily living. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate patience and maturity in difficult situations, be confident of skills & have a willingness to learn new procedures. Successful candidates must possess the ability to take on multiple responsibilities within the community and be able to work together as a team to share their genuine compassion and care with those for whom we are privileged to work.

The primary purpose of the Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) is to provide the residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Care Partners (CNAs)

Sterling Estates was voted Best Senior Community in Cobb County and we are currently staffing our state-of-the-art Memory Care, The Grande.

We are looking for individuals who possess the caring heart to work with our seniors in a dedicated Memory Care environment. The position will assist our residents with personal care, nurturing them with encouragement, and promoting their independence. We have full-time positions available for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts for compassionate, energetic, flexible, and reliable CNAs.

Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate patience and maturity in difficult situations, be confident of skills and have a willingness to learn new procedures. Director

The Director of “The Grande” at Sterling Estates will have a unique and exciting opportunity to open this state-of-the-art Memory Care Community of West Cobb.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about caring for Seniors, who can inspire others, provide leadership and loves to teach and learn. The successful candidate will take pride in his or her work and know the importance of working hard and having fun.  You will report to Deana Harris, the Executive Director of Sterling Estates of West Cobb Senior Living but you will have the independence and autonomy to lead the staff in The Grande.  The Grande at Sterling Estates has teamed with the Center of Excellence and Dr. John Zeisel of the Hearthstone Institute who wrote the book, I’m Still Here.

You will be responsible for supporting the team to create and lead focused and purpose-driven activities, provide meaningful social interactions, and helping each resident feel a sense of belonging to the community. In addition, your experience will be used to train and support all staff members to be successful in their roles. You will work with keeping The Grande on budget, helping with hiring and manage all department heads. You will assist the Sales/Marketing team with initial discovery of potential residents and sharing all that our community has to offer. The role must be on call at all times.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Produce and distribute weekly census/staffing report
  • Review/approve all staff timesheets before submitting to Payroll.
  • Maintain records of petty cash funds
  • Manage office and housekeeping supplies
  • Responsible for monthly spenddowns
  • Review monthly resident invoices
  • Approve all vendor invoices before forwarding to accounting for payment
  • Manage and coordinate new resident move-ins
  • Ensure residences is prepared for a tour, facilitate a successful tour and successfully close tours.
  • Manage disciplinary and plans of correction for all team members.

Candidate must have a RN or LPN license. Preference will be given to those who have had specific Sales/Marketing experience in a Memory Care community and have worked directly with memory care residents.

Resident Care Coordinator

As the Resident Care Coordinator of The Grande at Sterling Estates, you will be responsible for leading the team of Care Partners (CNAs) to ensure our residents receive the care that Sterling Estates is known for. The Grande at Sterling Estates, Memory Care, is teamed with the Center of Excellence and Dr. John Zeisel of the Hearthstone Institute who wrote the book, I’m Still Here.

Must have strong supervisory experience leading a team and must be willing to work flexible hours, including some weekends. This position requires a strong knowledge of pharmacology, oral medication, and MARs as well as experience managing Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are required for interacting with resident’s, families, pharmacies, doctors, home health agencies, rehabs and hospice providers. Must have strong organizational skills, capable of being on-call at all times, handling frequent interruptions, as well as confidence in his/her own physical and situational assessments. 

Job requirements:

  • Licensed RN or LPN
  • 2 year’s experience (memory care)
  • English language (both verbal and written)

Line Cook

Seeking an experienced, full-time line cook to work in our state-of-the-art kitchen assisting our team in our fast-paced Memory Care. Successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate patience and maturity, and be able to complete daily require culinary tasks and checklists. This position requires knowledge and experience in food preparation and a willingness to learn new techniques (five-star preparation and plating). SERV Safe a plus. Flexible schedule is a must. Salary is based on experience. Benefits and 401k available.

Housekeeper

Seeking an experienced, Housekeeper to work in our state-of-the-art Memory Care, The Grande at Sterling Estates.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of all common areas, offices and resident suites
  • Report any and all safety concerns for residents and/or building issues to management
  • Responsible for trash collection and removal and maintaining trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean, sanitary manner

Qualifications

  • Desire to work with seniors with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Demonstrates good time management skills and is able to handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates good judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision while following company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • One-year experience preferred
  • Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand for extended periods of time

Program Director (Activities)

The successful candidate will take pride in his or her work and know the importance of working hard and having fun.  You will report to the Director of The Grande but you will have the independence and autonomy to lead all activities and programs. The Grande at Sterling Estates has teamed with the Center of Excellence and Dr. John Zeisel of the Hearthstone Institute who wrote the book, I’m Still Here.

Qualifications:  Prefer a degree in occupational, musical or recreational therapies. Experience as an activity director or therapy aide may be substituted for a degree. Preference will be given to those who have had specific experience with running activities for an Alzheimer’s population.
 
Must be willing to work periodic weekends/evenings as part of a regular schedule. You will also assist Sales/Marketing team to help facilitate a successful tour and share benefits of our community to potential residents.
