What costs are associated with living in a Cottage or Garden Home or Independent Living apartment?
Cottage and Garden Home residents have an annual rental agreement and pay a one-time entrance fee, of which 80% is refundable. We require 90 days’ notice should you decide to leave, but only 30 days’ if it’s a medical emergency. At the end of your contract period, 80% of your entrance fee is refunded when the unit is re-rented. This makes living in a Cottage or Garden Home at Sterling of West Cobb a great way to preserve assets for yourself and your estate.
Independent Living apartments have an annual rental agreement but not an entrance fee.
Are meals included?
Our Cottages, Garden Homes, and Independent Living Apartments have fully equipped kitchens and comfortable dining areas, and residents prefer cooking most of their own meals. Appealing, varied monthly meal plans for your dining pleasure in our Main Dining venues are available.
Are there additional costs for the wellness programs?
Wellness at Sterling Estates is an integral part of our daily lives and we believe our Sterling Way wellness programs are very effective in helping one improve his or her physical or mental well-being. There are no additional costs associated with participating in our Sterling Way wellness programs, using our exercise facilities, or swimming in the pool by yourself or with friends and family.
What if my health needs change?
Should the need arise, all Cottage, Garden Home, and Apartment Suite residents are guaranteed priority for an Assisted Living Suite in the Main Residence without the charge of a community fee (one month’s rent). These Suites in the Main Residence were designed to meet both Independent and Assisted Living needs. For couples, when one spouse comes to need assistance, residents only pay for the specific Assisted Living services required. We do have a number of residents who need no assistance living in our Main Residence, just to be close to our Wellness Center and Main Dining venues.
