Executive Sous Chef

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who possesses a genuine interest in working with seniors and their family members in one of the premier senior living communities in the entire Southeast.  This twenty-five acre community (will be appx 225 total units when fully developed) opened in August 2016 and has been extremely successful thus far exceeding all occupancy targets.

We are currently hiring an Executive Sous Chef for our Sterling Grill, which provides upscale dining for our Independent residents.  The position is responsible for preparing, planning and directing food preparation. Will also be responsible for purchasing approved products, maintaining a professional image at all times through appearance, dress and attitude. The Executive Sous Chef also coordinates events for the independent community to include planning, production of events and ensuring proper staff coverage. In addition, you will provide training and in-servicing associated with current regulations and requirements. Will also create menus and items to ensure quality and proper margins, all with your culinary creativity.

Must be able to take direction and possess a team player attitude and strive to motivate all Grill and wait staff. Able to work in fast paced environment with flexibly to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must establish and enjoy good rapport with resident clientele.  

Required experience: 2 years in Food Service Management, 2 years in hotel, country club and senior living. ServSafe certification/license.

Senior Living Sales Counselor

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who possesses a genuine interest in working with seniors and their family members in one of the premier senior living communities in the entire Southeast.  This twenty-five acre community (will be appx 225 total units when fully developed) opened in August 2016 and has been extremely successful thus far exceeding all occupancy targets.  We're in the middle of Phase III Cottage construction and are already planning Phase IV.  Also, we're in planning stage for construction of second independent living apartment / clubhouse building and memory care community.  As such, we need more sales help immediately.

As Sales Counselor you will manage incoming leads, referral sources, and schedule tours. Your understanding of seniors' needs and aspirations, willingness to take time to hear their stories, ability to build genuine trust and relationships, and interpersonal presentation skills will be key in relaying Sterling Estates' value proposition and ultimately secure contracts and move-ins.  Demonstrated CRM sales system experience (we use Sherpa) with keen insights into resident centered selling are both highly preferred.
